Welcome to West End Grace! We’re happy you’re here.
Most of the people who visit us for the first time have some questions. This page will give you more information about the church and why we exist. If you have a question that isn’t addressed here, please feel free to ask one of the leaders.
What is a church?
A church isn’t just a building where people meet. It’s also the group of people that gathers there because they desire to know God and have chosen to make Him the leader of their lives.
Why do we get together?
To worship (focus on, honor) and to know Jesus, the one who made a way for all people to know God. To discover the Freedom and Grace that He gives freely.
What does it really accomplish?
Experiencing God and His love for us strengthens and recharges us. Learning together and understanding who God is gives us a desire to look for and reach out to others, inviting them to know Him as well.
When we get together on Sunday mornings, what do we do?
Teaching
Learning how to apply the Bible to our everyday lives is another part of what we do. Through simple understandable teachings, we learn how to live according to God’s word in today’s world.
Children’s Ministry
Children’s Ministry is new to West End Grace. We now offer a special environment for kids ages K-6th grade during the service. However, if you desire your child to stay with you, that is great too! Children do not have to wait until they are grown to have a relationship with Jesus.

Worship
A large part of our time together involves music that honors Jesus and helps us to focus on Him. We also spend time praying and listening to the Holy Spirit. (Psalm 103:1) If this style of worship is new for you or our music is different from what you are used to, we invite you to open your heart and ask God to speak to you during this time.
Our worship includes:
Singing – Let the godly sing with joy for the Lord, for it is fitting to praise Him.
Psalm 33:1
Shouting – Shout to the Lord all the earth, break our in praise, and sing for joy!
Psalm 98:4
Kneeling – Come let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our maker, for He is God.
Psalm 95:6
With Instruments – Praise Him with the blast of the trumpet, praise Him with the tambourine and dancing, praise Him with stringed instruments and flute. Praise Him with the clash of cymbals, praise Him with loud, clanging cymbals.
Psalm 150:3-5
Raising of Hands – Lift your hands in holiness and bless the Lord.
Psalm 134:2
Silence – Be still and know that I am God.
Psalm 46:10
Clapping – Come everyone and clap your hand for Joy! Shout to God with joyful praise!
Psalm 47:1
Dancing – Praise His name with dancing, accompanied by the tambourine and harp.
Psalm 149:3
Praying – Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
Colossians 4:2
